1.Firstly, create a good sized room (300x300x300) and place your info_player_start and a light in there.

2.Create a ladder in the middle of the room. When you have all the brushes where you want them, and hopefully it looks like a ladder, bring up your editor's face attributes dialoge. Select all the brushes for your ladder and check the box for ladder in the attributes dialogue.

3. i.e. in Qoole, bring up the Tex Properties and in the lower right there is the ladder check box. Tick it and then hit apply all.

4. Compile your map and check out your ladder.
