What are you using to model? sounds like 3dsmax.
If you are there is an asc exporter you can use which exports out multi objects and all the frames. Then you can put that into q2modeller.
It sounds like(ghost) maybe the normals are flipped? I have no idea.
maybe someone else can give another suggestion.
