No you wouldent, u would upload the modes to a server then some one checks sorta once a week and then puts the ones that are good on the quakeserver.
: But then you'd need an operator checking the new
: models all the time. Either that or some REAL
: clever coding, which would have to check every
: frame of the model, this would:
: 1.) Slow the server.
: 2.) Not work all the time.
: Having to download a new model all the time
: is a pain in the arse. I'd much rather have a pak
: of models with accompanying code, so instead of
: skins, you have models.
: Besides, you'd get all sorts of lamers with crappo
: models, making the game look like SHIT.
: And finally, some people could create models with
: 10 000 000 faces, slowing the game for down to
: everyone except them (because they don't see
: their own model.)
: : Not if servers controlled the allowable player
: :models. if you made yourself really small, the
: :server just wouldn't allow it, since it would
: :have a copy of it, and they'd judge it unfair, :so you wouldn't be allowed to play as it.
