Clip Brushes

These are placed around obstacles that the player can get caught on, like light fixtures jutting out from walls.

A clip brush is simply any brush with the CLIP texture on it, and with the PlayerClip face attribute set. Their best use is in a traingle shape around obstacles in the player's path that he might get caught on.

Below is the Qoole texture property dialoge showing the PlayerClip ticked.

Be sure to apply the PlayerClip to all faces of your clip brushes.

The following images show how to place clip brushes around a light fixture that would surely catch the player.

Clip brushes are quick and easy to do, and save the player a great deal of frustration while playing the map. They should be put in any high traffic areas on anything that would obstruct the player.

Here's an example .map showing clip brushes.
