: : Hey, I'm very very new to modeling and I've been trying to model plastic explosives using 3d Studio Max.
: : While this is probably a stupid question, I was wondering how I could convert a .max scene into
: : a Quake 2 .md2 file? And since this is just plastic explosives with no animation whatsoever, I'm assuming
: : that I don't have to make frames for it right?
: : Any help would be greatly appreciated.
: : Thanks,

: well im not sure how to convert a max scene into an md2 file but if u save the object as a .asc file and then use the q2modler utility, which can be found in the tools section of this, you can convert the asc file into an md2 file. And that is about all i know. so i hope that helps u out a bit.

Although the tuts on this site for 3dmax are for older versions, it did have a helpfull section one converting to md2....
