The awnser to using CS for game models is to work in 'Pure Freeform' mode. That is a mode without footsteps and physicqs. Like only using the biped as a bonesystem.

To do this you simply after setting up the physique press the animate button and move some part of the biped. The program will then ask you if you want to work without footsteps and you say yes... After that you cant use footsteps.

The awnser to the bone-deforming problem is a bit harder. One can try to change the transformation controller and stuff like that.

oh, and dont forgett that you can attach regular bones to the biped if you have bodyparts that are not supported by biped, like a extra set of arms.
