I beleve the skin mesh must come from the same model
as the model to to use the mesh. The faces must
be connected to the right verts anyway and if you split
every face up then youll get a shitload of texture
verts and that effects preformance on 3dcards as far
as i can understand.
Anyway...how did you produce the skinmesh anyway?
: what is a valid skin mesh? is it the same as the model or is it where you select faces and detach them so all the faces are faceing forward?
