lightwave - bones and multiple objects

A little question, In case I place some bones into
a body mesh - no problem at all.
But what if the body is made from more than one part ?
Is it possible to define more than one base
object or what´s the way to do it ?

e.g.

I got boots, the arms and a gun as extra parts
the rest is one piece... what do I have to do, that the
boots get affected by the bones which are placed in
the body ?
